Glass Classes

I offer personalized individual and small group classes in my home studio. Classes range from beginning project-based one-day classes, such as making a small serving dish to more advanced techniques for those who have a background in fused glass (see class offerings, below).

Pricing for classes for an individual, couple, or small groups typically starts at $125 per student. Exact costs depend upon the project being made, materials used, kiln-firings required, etc.

In some instances I may be able to accommodate special occasion classes that are taught at your location. Logistics can be tricky, but if you are interested in discussing options, please reach out!

f you would like to discuss any of these customized classes, send a request to me through my Contact form with information about the type of class and group size.

Glass Class offerings include:

  • Project-based classes for those who would like to create their own fused glass item. These are generally one-day classes.

  • Beginning fused glass for those who would like to learn the basics of glass fusing. These can be one day or span multiple weeks.

  • Advanced fusing classes for those with previous fused glass experience who want to explore specific techniques. These are generally one-day classes.

Metal Clay Jewelry

Learn to make fine silver jewelry using metal clay! I am an Art Clay Silver Level 1 certified instructor. Art Clay Silver is reclaimed silver from the manufacturing industry that is combined with water and a binder to create a workable clay. When the clay is fired, the binders burn away and what remains is .999 fine silver. In my studio, the silver clay is fired in a kiln for maximum sintering and strength, though hobbyist may fire the clay with a simple butane torch.
